The sign in my library (made for me by a student) says Queen of Everything. However, for this blog I will settle for just being the Library Queen. My purpose for starting a blog is to celebrate all the wonderful books found in our school library. Come along with me and weekly I will highlight a book or books you won’t want to miss. I want to highlight many kinds of books for every kind of reader. Look for new titles, classics, overlooked books, and most read books for all reading levels.

I love the reviews. They give me good ideas for gifts.

What a great idea! Love the book reviews.

It looks like this will be an interesting place to read book reviews. I like that I recognized some of the books already and that I own one or two of them. I hope that you get a lot of “hits” from the locals looking for ideas of books to read. Have you read “Feathers” or “Wednesday Wars” yet?

Thanks for the positive comments! I appreciate you taking the time to read some of the reviews. I have not read those either of those books yet but they are on my list.

I love your blog. And thanks for the ideas for books to use with my class. I am reading The Maze of Bones and I LOVE it! I’m going to start reading it to my class. I have one for you to read, I’d Tell You I Love You But Then I’d Have To Kill You by Ally Carter. There is a 2nd one to this that just came out.

Did you know that Coraline is also a graphic novel? Do you know how it compares to the book?

No, I have not seen the graphic novel. That would be a great study…one group reading the graphic novel and the other reading the original.

Hello! I just found your blog after reading the newest post on The Well-Read Child. I share your passion and, after 15 years as a mom, 13 years as a children’s bookseller and my whole life as a children’s book lover, I started a blog too! I review kid’s books, some lesser known and more unique that what’s usually on the shelf and hope you’ll check out my blog. Thanks for sharing your love of books with the blogging world!

Hi, Mary! I’m a middle school teacher and children’s author who just wandered over to your blog from the Well Read Child and bookmarked you. Thanks for the great reviews!

Hi-
I finally got Coraline read. It’s good but I think I still like The Old Willis Place better. I also read the 2nd 39 Clues book, One False Note, this weekend and it’s as good as the first. Did you see the interview on Scholastic with Whoopie Goldberg and Gordan Gorman? My kids watched it and really liked it. I haven’t heard of the newest ones you’ve listed — I’ll add them to my already huge list of wanna reads!!

Another one I will be reviewing soon is Hunger Games… put that one on the top of your “to read list” you will be glad you did!
